About

Montville Rural Fire brigade was formed in 1958 by landholders in order to protect the local community and their property and livelihoods.  Much has changed since this time of hand tools, beaters and knapsacks and today the brigade has three vehicles equipped for firefighting purposes.

Montville fire brigade is made up of local volunteers.  We respond to fire emergencies in our local and surrounding areas.  As we are not on reticulated water in our area, we also supply water to urban trucks in the event of structural fires. We aid in defending property in these instances.

Montville RFB supplies willing crews to make up strike teams for larger wildfires and other emergency incidents such as flood mitigation.

Our main areas of focus for non-emergencies are hazard mitigation in our local area and bushfire awareness and advice to our community.  If you'd like further information, please contact us via this form or call us on 0409 480 058.
