We are always in need of more members. Firefighting is not the only role available in the brigade. We need support people, volunteer community educators, as well as equipment and maintenance officers and fire wardens to keep the brigade functioning.  Age and gender is no barrier providing you are an adult (or have parental permission between 16–18 years of age).

If you're interested in joining Montville Rural Fire Brigade, call us on 0409 480 058 for details to drop in on one of our training nights. We meet every second Monday of the month and final Wednesday at 7pm.

A bit more about volunteering

At Montville Rural Fire Brigade we respond to local incidents, take part in hazard reduction burns in our area and surrounding areas, and we are sometimes deployed within Queensland or elsewhere in Australia to assist with large-scale wildfires and flood mitigation work. As volunteers, we give whatever spare time we are able to give for our community. Training is available to varying levels and members can then assist actively in firefighting activities or other areas such as incident management.
